The first event of Sana and Ahmed’s wedding festivities was their beautiful nikkah. This was the second event of theirs we shot, after their e-shoot, and it was such a fun and wholesome day filled with family, friends, and so much love!
The nikkah was at Masjid Vaughan and was more of an intimate event. Sana wore an ethereal classic farshi gharara from Faiza Saqlain and the talented Amber Malik did her makeup, which was stunning!
We got to take a ton of family photos and candids at the Masjid after the nikkah which was so nice – you can feel the warmth and love through the photos. If this is something that is important to you in your photos, be sure to check that your masjid can accommodate this! Some masjids have very limited time slots and it’s not possible to get family photos after the nikkah.
After the nikkah, we did the couple’s shoot at the Riverwood Conservancy which is one of our favourite locations to shoot at. We were lucky to get such beautiful weather and lighting for all of the events, which really makes all the difference. There are a lot of different areas at the location which makes for a nice variety of photos, and it’s also gorgeous in the fall with all the colours, if you’re planning a fall wedding.
It was a short day but I really enjoyed shooting it, and it just got me even more excited for the events to follow!
