After Saad and Shifa’s Mehendi, we’re back with part two — and it did not disappoint. Their Pakistani nikkah in Oakville was elegant, emotional, and every bit as beautiful as the celebration that came before it.

We started the day at Gairloch Gardens in Oakville for the couple’s shoot, which is a stunning location in the west end of the GTA. There’s something so special about a first look done right. Saad is standing ahead, Shifa with her bridesmaids getting ready behind him. The nervous smiles and that moment when he turns around. It’s so priceless, and is always one of our favourite moments to photograph. We’ve shot hundreds of weddings, and it truly never gets old.

Gairloch Gardens is a photoshoot location that has a little bit of everything. Lush greenery. Open waterfront views. Architectural details. Shaded walkways. Such a treat to photograph! We moved through the space and used every backdrop it had to offer, which meant a couple’s gallery with real variety — not just the same pose in front of the same wall.

From the gardens, we made our way to Oakville Legacy Banquet for the nikkah ceremony.
This was the same venue from Saad & Shifa’s nikkah, but you’d have no idea from the photos – it was completely transformed by the decor by the talented team at @sparktacularevents.
They transformed the venue with the stunning, rich, colourful florals and dramatic white drapery, and styling that elevated the space without overwhelming the ceremony itself, perfect for this Pakistani nikkah.

The Nikkah Ceremony Begins
The ceremony itself was everything a Pakistani nikkah in Oakville should be – you could feel all the love in the room. The hall made for the perfect venue with the nikkah partition with the bride and groom in the middle, literally surrounded by all of their loved ones.

When the nikkah was complete, the room shifted. Family gathered close, and the celebration truly began. With the sweetest speeches, cake cutting, and of course, the joota chupai. Like any big fat Pakistani wedding, the night ended with the dancefloor before the emotional rukhsati.

Saad and Shifa, thank you so much for having us as a part of your magical wedding weekend! It was a pleasure photographing you and we hope you loved your photos as much as we loved taking them!
