At Qurrat A’yun Studios, we get to travel all over for couples all across the US and Canada, and for Manahil and Rehan’s wedding, our team had the pleasure of taking a road trip down to Indianapolis for their Pakistani Indiana wedding. What unfolded over those two days turned into one of our most memorable weddings of the year, and we got tons of beautiful photos for both events.

We started out with getting ready portraits in the hotel, capturing Manahil’s gorgeous red Sania Maskatiya outfit and all of her jewelry and accessories. Since we were at the hotel where the groom was also getting ready, we were able to get some getting ready portraits as well.

For the couples portraits we headed to The Gardens at New Fields Museum in Indianapolis which was a gorgeous location. I would highly recommend it if you are planning an Pakistani Indiana wedding. Not only was there tons of greenery with the gardens but also stunning architecture, including these arches which gave it a very traditional haveli-esque feel. Photography was a priority for Manahil so she scheduled ample time for portraits, which you can see from the number of photos we were able to get at each location!

MORE PHOTOS

Since we had ample time for portraits, we were also able to take some photos of the bride and groom with their families outside the venue. If you can, I would highly recommend allotting time for photos with family before the chaos of the event begins!

Both families were so sweet and welcoming, and it was truly a pleasure working with them! You can literally feel the love and happiness radiating through the photos, and it made the baraat entrances even livelier and more fun.

The decor inside the venue was simple yet impactful, with bright white florals and greenery. This was the perfect backdrop for the nikkah and traditions that followed. Manahil and Rehan had their nikkah, followed by the ring exchange, before their first dance and all the fun rasms like my personal favourite, the joota chupai.

The night ended with more dancing and an emotional rukhsati, and we could not wait for their beautiful reception the next day. It was one of the most unique wedding events we’ve shot so be sure to check out the next blog post for that!
