If you had asked me 11 years ago that one day I would be photographing these two on their wedding day, I would have probably laughed it off and told you that you were crazy. I have known Farria and Abdul both since high school, and it was such an honour when she asked me to photograph her on her wedding day. It’s always so nerve-wracking when your friends ask you to take photos of them on their big day. For the longest time I did not do that….but then as time passed by, and on consistent insistence, I gave in and started doing it. For Farria’s wedding, I did her getting ready photos (as I am a sucker for details and when I found out that she’d be adorning a gorgeous Fahad Hussayn emsemble, I just couldn’t say no haha) and their wedding portraits at the beautiful Graydon Hall Manor – which was a perfect backdrop for their pakistani wedding portraits.
Graydon Hall Manor has always been on my bucket list spots to shoot at in Toronto. When I proposed the idea to her, and she was down for it, I was ecstatic! The beautiful manor was a gorgeous backdrop for their chic outfits; I loved the fuscia in her dress that went so well with the fall colours; Abdul’s tuxedo was a perfect compliment to Farria’s outfit as well as the overall look of the place.
I loved how the location gave us an opportunity to shoot indoors and outdoors; both spaces were equally pretty for portraits. I started the day off by taking her getting ready photos at Summera Studios‘ salon. We then headed over to the photoshoot location, where we had a fun 2 hours snapping away their gorgeous portraits. I did not shoot her event, but rather enjoyed attending it as a guest 🙂
Enjoy the following blogpost with some of my favourite photos from their session!
