Kind, graceful and fun – these are the three words that come to mind for Nadira and Vilayath when I think of them. I worked with these wonderful souls in 2018 for their beautiful fusion East-African and Hyderabadi Indian 2 day wedding.
Nadira adorned a beautiful khada dupatta outfit on their wedding day from Oriental Costumes. Her jewelry was also traditionally hyderabadi and went in so well together with her entire look. Jenny did a fantastic job with her makeup, hair and outfit setting. Her work always photographs wonderfully and makes my job in post-processing so much easier!
Vilayath also looked dapper in his custom made sherwani that he designed himself! He rocked his outfits for both their events! I loved how he paired it with printed pants and the colour of his outfit, complemented Nadira’s Khada dupatta SO well. He has to be one of my best dressed grooms to date 😉
We started the day with doing Nadira’s getting ready session at the Beauty Concept by Shirley Wu‘s studio space. Since it was still pretty cold outside, we went over to Mint Room Studios to capture their first look and couple portraits of the day. Their reactions to seeing each other for the first time were so cute! Scroll down to see them 🙂
Nasreen from Rangeen Weddings and Events did a fantastic job at coordinating their event and making sure everything was running smoothly and stress-free for the couple 🙂 Having a planner for a wedding definitely eases things so much. I had the pleasure of working alongside some amazing wedding coordinators and planners in 2018, and I would highly highly recommend it to couples who are thinking about it! They take the entire work of managing your event for you and making sure everything goes smoothly!
Here is the 1 out of 2 of their events that I will be sharing here! Stay tuned for their valima blogpost coming next!
Thank you so much Nadira and Vilayath, for trusting me to capture your special days :). It has been nothing but a pleasure being of service to you both! Thank you for your kindness and warm and welcoming nature. AND for those fantastic cookies you baked for me when you came to see me too! <3
Kind words from Nadira and Vilayath:
Booking Qurrat was the best way to initiate our wedding planning. Beyond her wonderful eye and talent, she gave us immediate confidence by talking through what she needed from us and what we could expect from her. This isn’t a side hustle for Qurrat; she is incredibly professional in her services, and transparent about costs. In a world of sketchy/late vendors, Qurrat is a breath of fresh air. But at the same time, she’s a friend. Her support and guidance in determining the details we needed to keep in mind when planning our wedding were invaluable. She’s punctual, responsive to inquiries, and her talent and care shines through in her work. She’s calming and trustworthy, which allowed us to let ourselves to be silly and enjoy the photography process. We are very fortunate to have had someone who was able to capture our wedding in such wonderful photos and a lovely photo album.
