One thing we love capturing is outdoor weddings, especially Pakistani wedding photography in Los Angeles, which we wish were more common in the desi community! We were lucky enough to capture Hira & Kumayl’s outdoor nikkah at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum. It started with a beautiful nikkah ceremony during golden hour, followed by a reception filled with so much warmth and love from their lovely families! A Look Worth Every Detail

Hira wore Samsara by Khadija Batool, and the outfit was everything — rich, refined, and perfectly suited to the setting. Her glam was handled by the talented team at Dolled Up by Lulu and Sheeza JK, who nailed the look down to the hijab styling. We especially loved her dupatta with the long train, which was perfect for photos with the golden hour light shining through. She also had a stunning floral purse/bouquet which was a stunning touch to her look. We were able to get portraits of Hira and Kumayl before their first look, capturing all the thoughtful details of both looks.

The Nixon Presidential Library: Quintessentially LA

The venue itself — the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum in Yorba Linda — was a stunning backdrop for the day. Sweeping outdoor grounds, manicured gardens, and that unmistakable Southern California sky overhead with perfect weather. Add in the palm trees, the warm light, and the perfectly dressed tables, and you have something that feels effortlessly, quintessentially LA.

The Most Stunning Golden Hour Nikkah 

The nikkah took place at golden hour, and the light was nothing short of magical. Warm, glowing, soft, a wedding photographer’s dream! 

One of the reasons we love photographing Pakistani weddings in Los Angeles is the weather — and days like this one are exactly why. The California sun at golden hour is unlike anything else, and when you pair it with a beautifully dressed bride, fresh florals, and so much love from friends and family, the photos speak for themselves.

As Pakistani wedding photographers based in Los Angeles, we are always looking for venues that complement the richness of South Asian weddings, and the Nixon Library was a unique choice that did not disappoint. The décor by Trend Events and Decor was beautifully done — lush fresh florals, an elegantly styled nikkah table, and details that felt cohesive, intentional, and gorgeous in frame.

A Family That Made Us Feel Right at Home

From the moment we arrived, both the bride and groom’s families were so welcoming and hospitable. There was a warmth and an ease to everything throughout the day, and you can feel it in the photos.

And because Hira works in the industry herself — she designs cakes and knows the wedding world inside and out — she understood exactly how the day needed to move. That awareness made everything smoother. She knew what good execution looked like, and everyone made sure everything was picture-perfect.

Nikkah and Rukhsati, All in One Day

Having the nikkah and rukhsati on the same day means a full, content-rich wedding day — and it requires everything to run like clockwork. For Pakistani weddings in Los Angeles, a seamless timeline isn’t just helpful, it’s everything. Thanks to the incredible coordination of event planner Events by Tejal, it did exactly that. Every transition was seamless, every moment was accounted for, and there was never a scramble.
While having a nikkah and rukhsati in one day can be a lot – especially in two separate venues like this wedding, making sure you have ample time and coverage for the photos is so important. Make sure to bring this up early in your planning process with your photographers to ensure everything is seamless!
