If Hira and Kumayl’s nikkah was about golden light and outdoor romance, then the valima was all about moody vibes and personality. Hira and her husband are book lovers, and they wanted their wedding portraits to reflect that, so of course, we took them to a library for their shoot.

As Pakistani wedding photographers in Los Angeles, our favorite moments happen when couples lean into what they love. The library gave us warm, cinematic backdrops. Think rows of books, rich wood shelves, and quiet grandeur. It felt completely natural for them. As a result, the photos weren’t just beautiful — they were them. That is always the goal.
This is what we encourage every couple to consider when planning portraits. Have a unique location idea? A specific vibe in mind? Tell us, and we’ll make it happen!

Beyond the portraits, the weather added another layer of magic. Winter weddings in Los Angeles are truly underrated. The summer heat is gone. The light runs softer and more golden. The air carries a crispness that feels elegant. Overall, the day was comfortable, bright, and beautifully lit. LA in winter is genuinely one of the best times to get married.

When it came to the reception, the Sheraton Cerritos Hotel delivered a stunning canvas, and Weddings by Wardah @weddingsbywardah ran with it. Their team completely transformed the ballroom into something special — the kind of styling that makes every corner feel intentional, and every guest feel the occasion. On top of that, Susie Cakes Bakery brought a showstopping cake, and Moonlight Mocktails added creative, personalized drinks that kept guests talking all evening.
Meanwhile, Events by Nazzy @events_by_nazzy kept everything running smoothly throughout the day. Much like the nikkah, the celebration moved with ease and intention — no scrambling, no stress, just a beautifully flowing reception from start to finish.

For the valima, Hira once again turned to Dolled Up by Lulu @dolledupbylulu and Sheeza JK @sheezajk for her glam — and they delivered again without missing a beat. Her henna by Maymuna Henna @maymunahenna carried beautifully from the nikkah into the reception, while the groom stepped into his valima look courtesy of The Grotto. Together, they looked stunning.

Finally, we have to talk about the people — because this family was an absolute joy. The warmth they brought to the nikkah carried right through to the valima, making every moment on set feel easy and genuine. When a family shows up kind, present, and excited, you can feel it in the room — and more importantly, you can see it in every photo.
Hira and Kumayl, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your gorgeous celebrations!
