After photographing Eman and Umer’s mehendi and nikkah, we were so excited to wrap up their wedding celebrations with their valima with some Texas wedding photography in Austin. It was such a pleasure getting to photograph all three events and watch their wedding story unfold across the GTA and Texas!

Their valima at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown was the perfect way to end the festivities. From the light, bright decor to the beautiful Texas views and architecture around Austin, this was a celebration that gave us plenty to work with when it came to capturing their portraits and all the little moments in between.

We loved Eman’s monochrome look with the perfect subtle touches of green throughout.

Lush Rolling Hills in Austin | TEXAS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

We have not had the opportunity to photograph many Texas weddings, but one of the things we loved most about photographing a wedding in Austin was the chance to incorporate the city’s natural beauty and architecture into the couple’s portraits.

Austin has no shortage of beautiful scenery, from rolling hills and expansive Texas views to architectural details that give portraits a completely different feel from the typical wedding venue setting.  The Texas landscape also offered gorgeous opportunities for softer, more editorial portraits, complementing the bright and elegant feel of their valima and providing a nice contrast to their moody nikkah portraits.

A Light & Bright Valima

The light, bright decor with gorgeous florals and drapery gave the reception an airy, elegant feel that worked beautifully with the day’s overall atmosphere. We loved capturing the details of the space before the celebration got underway, from the decor to the little touches that made the room feel distinctly theirs.

A Dramatic Entrance & First Dance

After all of the family entrances, Eman and Umer had an entrance followed by a stunning first dance complete with lighting and fog, which made for some gorgeous photos.

Three Beautiful Events

Getting to photograph Eman and Umer’s mehendi, nikkah, and valima was genuinely such a pleasure. Each event had its own personality and aesthetic, but together they told the story of one beautiful wedding weekend.
