When it comes to Pakistani nikkah photography, few celebrations have stayed with us quite like Manal and Aftab’s. After shooting their mehendi, we knew we were in for something special for their nikkah, but nothing could have prepared us for just how breathtaking it turned out to be! Set against the backdrop of Chateau le Jardin and brought to life by an incredible team of vendors, this nikkah was equal parts elegant and unforgettable; we still reference it years later.

Every beautiful day starts with the smallest details, and Manal’s getting ready moments were no exception. She wore a stunning ivory-and-gold outfit by HSY, a fresh take on the classic nikkah combo. As Manal slipped into her outfit, we focused on capturing every detail, from the outfit to all of the accessories completing the look. These quiet, intimate moments always set the tone for the rest of the day, and this time was no different.

Once Manal was ready, we headed to Gairloch Gardens for a first look and the couple’s portraits. There’s something so pure about capturing that first glimpse between a couple before the whirlwind of the day truly begins. We tucked ourselves away in a quiet corner of the gardens so Manal and Aftab could share this moment privately, and their reactions were every bit as heartfelt as we’d hoped.

After the first look, we spent some time exploring the grounds for portraits, and Gairloch Gardens did not disappoint. This venue has quickly become one of our favourites for Pakistani nikkah photography, largely because of its versatility. Between manicured gardens, elegant stone architecture, and sweeping lakeviews, we’re never short on backdrops. As a result, we can give every couple a variety of looks in a single location, which makes for a dynamic gallery. Manal and Aftab’s portraits here turned out regal, romantic, and completely timeless.

We have to take a moment here, because the decor at this nikkah is honestly some of the most unique work we’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. Baneen from Bliss Beginnings is a vendor we’ve followed since the very start of her career, and watching her grow into the powerhouse designer she is today has been such a joy. So when Manal told us Baneen was on board for the decor, we were ecstatic, and we knew she’d bring something truly magical to the space.
We were not wrong. Walking into the hall, we were genuinely stunned. The room had a majestic, court-inspired look, complete with peacock accents and lush florals that transformed Le Jardin into a space unlike anything we’d shot in before.

As the sun began to dip, we turned our attention to something equally meaningful: the quiet, golden hour moments shared between Manal and her family. We captured her mother lovingly placing her veil, along with the small gestures of love and support that happen just before a bride steps into her ceremony. It’s always so special to be able to capture these quiet moments amidst all the chaos of a wedding day, and we’re so glad Manal made time for these photos.

Aftab’s entrance was nothing short of cinematic. He arrived in classic Pakistani groom style on a traditional horse-drawn carriage, and as the sun began to set behind him, we were able to capture some genuinely stunning portraits. The combination of the golden sky, the carriage, and Aftab’s anticipation made for one of our favourite parts of the entire day. It’s moments like these that remind us why traditional entrances still hold so much power in Pakistani nikkah photography.

Once Manal and Aftab were finally seated together, the energy in the room shifted into something reverent and joyful all at once. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the ceremony felt both intimate and grand. We moved quietly through the room to capture every expression, every glance, and every emotional beat as they sealed their marriage.

RECEPTION?

Beyond the big moments, it was the smaller details that truly elevated this celebration. The hand-painted nikkah nama by Islamic Canvas Painting was an absolute work of art, and we made sure to give it the spotlight it deserved. Likewise, the couple’s entrance screen added such a thoughtful, personal touch to the space. From the elegant nikkah pens by Noore Nikkah to the fresh floral accessories by Ananda’s, every detail told a piece of Manal and Aftab’s story, and we loved being able to document them all.

As the day wound down, we made our way to the rukhsati, and as always, this part of the celebration carried its own bittersweet weight. Watching Manal say goodbye to her family before starting this new chapter with Aftab was emotional in the best possible way. Tears, laughter, and tight hugs filled the room, and we felt so privileged to capture it all.
