Today we’re sharing Manhal and Sibtain’s dreamy engagement shoot at Parkwood Estate. It was so fun to shoot, with their timeless monochromatic looks and the estate’s lush grounds making the perfect backdrop.

FROM BUFFALO TO THE GTA

Manhal and Sibtain are actually from Buffalo and made the trip all the way from New York for this session! We were honoured they chose us and came all the way to the GTA, and we wanted to make the drive worth it. Our whole team had so much fun shooting it, and we also captured some fun behind-the-scenes content too.

A CLASSIC AND ELEGANT PARKWOOD ESTATE ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

The talented sister duo Sana Zaid @sanaxzaid and Zaina Hussain @hairbyzainahussain brought together Manhal’s eshoot look. Her hair and makeup complemented her perfectly, polished and camera-ready, and it held up all session long.

Manhal and Sibtain wanted a classic and elegant look. They chose black and white, and it paid off. The two colours stand out against the greenery and the historic architecture. They also keep the focus on the couple. Black and white never goes out of style, either. These photos will look just as beautiful in twenty years as they do today. That is exactly what we hope for with every engagement session.

MAKING THE MOST OF EVERY BACKDROP

Parkwood Estate was the perfect place for any shoot. The grounds offer one stunning backdrop after another. So instead of settling on a single spot, we used as many of them as we could. Every corner of the estate gave us a new look, so the gallery feels full of variety. We walked the grounds with Manhal and Sibtain and stopped wherever the light and scenery looked best. As a result, the gallery blends grand, formal portraits with soft, candid ones.

If you are planning an engagement session in the GTA, we highly recommend this location. It works beautifully for couples who love a regal, old-world feel.
